Prof. Datuk Dr. Azmi is currently the Deputy Rector (Academic Affairs and International Affairs) and a Professor at the Department of Businaess Administration, Kulliyyah of Economics & Management Sciences, International Islamic University Malaysia. Prior to joining the University in 1983, Dr. Azmi was a bank officer at the International Banking Division, Bank Bumiputera Malaysia Berhad, now known as Bank Bumiputera Commerce.
